The following is a partial list of facilities and services available in the Learning Resources Centre (A157).

Services

Grades Management

• Provide software for Micrograde grades management software
• Web Grade (for submission of final grades)
• Instructions on using Micrograde or Blackboard Grade Center for managing grades
• Assistance with submitting Final Grades using Web Grade
• Information on grades standards, normative grades, grades inflation 

Optical Exam Scoring

• Forms, procedure and instructions for submitting exams to be scored
• Viewing and interpreting optically scored exam files
• Changing the key and rescoring an exam
• Uploading exam score files
• deleting items, changing key for rescore of exams using .dat file from an initial exam scan

Equipment Available for Use in the LRC (A 157)

• Computers
• Colour printer
• Scanner - images and text
• Slide scanner
• conversion of video and audio cassettes to digital format
• Data Projector, laptop, screen for preview
• VHS players & TV screens

Equipment and Materials Available for Booking and/or Loan

Testing Rooms

Individual testing rooms, with a computer if needed, are available in the LRC for students whose exams can not be accommodated in regularly scheduled Make-Up Exam Sessions.

Blackboard Support

•  initial setup of Blackboard websites for Psychology courses, including banner, instructor profile, course outline link, transfer of files from previous Bd's , Help link
• custom additions of Blackboard features, groups, discussion groups, etc
• additional courseware can also be arranged, e.g. Word Press Blog, Presenter, etc.

Academic Posters

• Instruction on developing and producing academic courses for Honours Students.  
• Advice and assistance with creating academic posters
• Arranging display of academic posters in the Department at the Annual Student Conference, and throughout the year

AV Support

• Contact Larry Wenger to book or to resolve problems with AV equipment, particularly in Department of Psychology Conference Rooms.
• Note that typically AV bookings for official courses should be made and supported by Com Media, Phone 220-3711

Disposals

• Contact Larry Wenger to arange disposal  of electronic and other equipment.

Display Cabinets 

• Contact Larry Wenger for display of:

          - current event and other notices in main floor display cabinet

          - published books by faculty and other Department affiliates

-  special displays for second floor east hallway glass door cabinets

Signage

• Contact Larry Wenger to request track door signs, lab plaques and other department signage

Tools

• Contact Larry Wenger to borrow common tools for use in the department.
