Communication and Media Studies

Vagisha Agrawal, a Communication and Media Studies major, was able to extend her classroom beyond the constraints of a lecture hall by studying abroad in New York City through the Killam Fellowship Program. Her experience abroad inspired her Honors thesis project on restorative justice. She will be spending the summer of 2019 interning in Washington D.C. through the Washington Center program.

Ashley Anderson

Political Science

Political Science alumna Ashley Anderson enjoyed the opportunity to practically apply classroom theories to her internship in Tanzania. Previous study abroad experiences provided her with a solid foundation of cross-cultural competency skills, which she has used working for Mama na Mtoto, a research and implementation initiative dedicated to improving maternal, newborn and child health in the Lake Zone of Tanzania.
